The bluegr Hotels & Resorts group has received the “Recognized for Excellence” 4-Star Award from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). The EFQM, a non profit membership organization, provides an Excellence Model as a practical tool to help organisations measure where they are on the path to excellence and what they need to do to improve. Bluegr Hotels & Resorts has adopted the EFQM Business Excellence Model and in 2016 was honored with the EFQM Committed to Excellence 2-star award. This year, the group achieved the 4-star rating and received the honor during a ceremony recently organized by the Hellenic Management Association (EEDE) – the EFQM partner in Greece and Cyprus – in Athens. Candia Park Village “This distinction is the result of teamwork,” bluegr IT Manager Vasilis Barbas said during the event. Vasilis Barbas “However, we would not be here today without our firm, strong and straightforward leadership… Our goal is to be back on that podium again in two years to receive the next, 5-star level rating,” Barbas added. During the last 25 years EFQM has been supporting organizations in Europe and beyond, in their efforts to reach and exceed excellence in sustainability, regardless of size or industry. With over 700 member companies, including private and public sector organizations, EFQM shares best business practices through a series of innovative activities. The EFQM Levels of Excellence scheme was created to provide organizations with consistent Europe-wide recognition for each step of their journey towards excellence.
