The company is changing its itineraries after completing the installation of scrubbers on its ships, which are pollution control devices used to remove particulates and/or gases from exhaust streams. “Minoan Lines is the first Greek coastal shipping company to install scrubbers… in line with the new IMO (International Maritime Organization) Fuel Regulation – effective as of January 1, 2020,” the announcement said. As of January 9, the company’s daily itineraries will be amended as follows: ARRIVAL DEPARTURE PIRAEUS 20:30 SOUDA (CHANIA) 04:30 05:00 HERAKLION 07:30 ARRIVAL DEPARTURE HERAKLION 20:30 SOUDA (CHANIA) 23:30 23:59 PIRAEUS 07:15 The company’s cruise ferries Knossos Palace, Festos Palace and Mykonos Palace will return to their scheduled itineraries as of Friday, April 19.
