Athens News Suburban Railway to Amend Itineraries on January 10-11 by GTP editing team 9 January 2019 written by GTP editing team 9 January 2019 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 9 Greek railway operator Trainose has announced that the itineraries of the suburban railway (proastiakos) will be amended on Thursday, January 10, and Friday, January 11, due to the visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Athens. The changes concern the line connecting the Athens International Airport with Piraeus (Airport – Koropi–Ano Liosia– Athens-Piraeus). The suburban railway routes will be amended as follows: On Thursday, January 10, between 5.15pm – 5.45pm, the route of train 1226 will end in Koropi, while train 2251 will depart from Koropi duing the same hours. Furthermore, on Friday, January 11, between 3.45pm – 4.15pm, trains 1222 and 2238 will end their journey in Koropi, while trains 2243, 1223 will depart from Koropi during the same hours. Trainose warns that further changes may occur. Commuters are advised to contact 14511 ahead of travel.
