Citing data from bookings, the PPA expects 605 confirmed cruise ship arrivals in 2019, up from 524 in 2018.

The port authority, managed by Cosco, also expects the number of cruise ships using Piraeus as a homeport to almost double this year as 372 are expected, up from 257 in 2018.

Among the vessels expected to visit Piraeus and other ports in Greece in 2019 is the new generation cruise ship (300m long) Mein Schiff 4 of TUI Cruises. Pictured is Cpt. Weng Lin, Deputy CEO of PPA S.A. and the ship’s captain, Naneder Sebastian, during the ship’s visit in Piraeus in late 2018.
