The second section from Goudi to Marousi will be extended westward to Petroupolis. The Agia Varvara, Platia Eleftherias-Korydallos, and Agios Nikolaos-Nikaia stations are set to open by June 30. Referring to a station planned for the inner-city neighborhood of Exarcheia, Milopoulos said the station will be located on the square with exits along the side streets and on towards the National Archaeological Museum. Milopoulos concluded that Attiko Metro SA will be launching a study to determine which other Athens districts and suburbs require stations.
