Ways of promoting excellence and safety in air shows worldwide will be discussed during the 2019 convention of the European Airshow Council (EAC), which will be held for the first time in Athens, between February 28 – March 2.

Hosted by the organizers of the Athens Flying Week, Greece’s most significant annual aviation event, the convention will bring together some of Europe’s leading air show organizers and representatives of national aerobatics teams from Belgium, Poland, Jordan, Denmark, Sweden, France, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Canada and the UK (Red Arrows) among many others.

According to the organizers, the number of participants will exceed 300.

The convention will also include two seminars on safety and emergency planning:

  • The Fast Jet Solo Display Pilot Safety Workshop will take place with the participation of Greek pilots from the Zeus team of the Hellenic Air Force, which every year participates in international air shows around the world,
  • The Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Workshop will be held with the participation of air show organizers.
