In addition, the municipality is also planning to launch within the year a free phone app titled “Welcome to Kalamata” which will provide users with real-time news about events, happenings, sites of interest, and offers, and will also include a map featuring important landmarks, museums, places of worship, galleries, parking spaces and bicycle lanes. At the same time, it plans to set up info points across town to provide travelers with information on the spot. The city authority will also up its presence on social media networks and through online media presentations as well as participate in international tourism and travel shows. Kalamata.
