Five bilateral chambers of commerce have joined forces for the 4th Tourism Conference: Northern Greece – Welcoming Future Trends to take place at the Ioannis Vellidis Congress Center in Thessaloniki on March 14. The American Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, the British-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, the French-Greek Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the German-Greek Chamber of Industry & Commerce, and the Italian-Hellenic Chamber of Thessaloniki are organizing the event, which is one of the most important for Northern Greece. The conference will bring together government officials, tourism experts and sharing economy stakeholders, banking industry representatives, consultants, academics, students and executives, and speakers will include Secretary General for Tourism and Development George Tziallas; Vice Governor Metropolitan Area of Thessaloniki & President of the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization Voula Patoulidou; Ellinair CEO Thanos Paschalis, and Secretary General of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) Konstantinos Tsegas. Topics to be addressed include technology – the one-way path towards tourism development; sharing economy and rearranging the tourism market; financing tourism projects, and sports tourism ways to widen the tourism experience.
