The events were held within the framework of Marriott International’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and the “Serve 360” program, run by the Marriott Worldwide Business Council Greece & Cyprus, with the aim to support the fundraising program for SOS Children’s Villages Greece. Furthermore, the bike ride and beach cleaning activities took place “with the precious help of Marriott’s associates, who volunteered for a good cause, and the support of the non-profit organization Medasset. The main goals of these initiatives were to strengthen the company’s team spirit and support its CSR activities,” an announcement said. The key messages that Marriott International aimed to convey were that “children deserve a better future and together we can help them”, and “cleaning of the Greek seas and beaches as we ‘Swear to Care’”. “A sincere thank you goes to the esteemed associates of our hotels, who contributed to support SOS Children’s Villages Greece, as well as to the members of the Volunteer Associate Team that participated in the Bike Ride and Beach Cleaning, ” said Tim Ananiadis, Chairman of Marriott Business Council Greece & Cyprus and General Manager of Hotel Grande Bretagne and King George Hotel.
