Global short-term rental data provider AirDNA has announced the integration of HomeAway data across the entire range of its products and tools, including flagship dashboard MarketMinder.

HomeAway is a home swapping platform, which includes apartments, beach homes, cabins and condos in 190 countries.

“With an addition of 1.5 million HomeAway listings, AirDNA has consolidated its position as the most comprehensive vacation rental data provider worldwide, now collecting daily reservation information on 10 million unique Airbnb and HomeAway properties across the globe,” AirDNA said in an announcement.

The integration of HomeAway data is expected to provide greater visibility into the short-term rental market, empowering both successful and aspirational hosts to optimize their listings and price more competitively. Vacation rental managers and real estate investors will get unprecedented insight into the performance of individual rentals, helping them to benchmark properties and spot emerging markets before their competitors.

“Managers and investors will see a healthy ROI if they are able to choose the right property in the right market, and get a truly holistic understanding of that property’s performance over multiple booking platforms,” said AirDNA CEO Scott Shatford.

Meanwhile, all areas in AirDNA’s MarketMinder tool will see a measurable lift in supply with the inclusion of HomeAway data. However, 39 markets in particular will see over 100 percent increase in the number of properties displayed.

It will also be possible to perform side-by-side comparisons between distribution channels. The MarketMinder Overview tab displays the breakdown of properties by booking platform – whether they are listed on Airbnb, HomeAway or both.

In addition, to recognize listings that are published on both Airbnb and HomeAway, AirDNA’s data science team has developed a proprietary listing match algorithm. The algorithm analyzes over 14 listing features, such as location, listing titles, listing descriptions, numbers of bedrooms, and calendar availability to cross reference dual-listed rentals.

US-based AirDNA is a leading provider of short-term vacation rental data and analytics, tracking the daily performance of over 10 million listings in 80,000 markets globally on Airbnb, HomeAway, and more.
