Aiming to promote Greek tourism technology startups to the international travel market, HAMAC, represents a vibrant sector of more than 80 high-tech companies whose activities include the development of added value mobile applications, and the provision of services for telecommunication providers, innovative communication, content and application services.

During ITB Berlin 2019, the following members of HAMAC had the opportunity to present their activities to Greek Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura:

  • Ferry Hopper, an online booking platform for ferries,

During the last few years, HAMAC has been promoting enterprises that offer services and solutions for the tourism industry based on mobile, Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud technologies, among others. In 2018, a number of startups were awarded during the Futurism technology event, while recently HAMAC participated in the MWC Barcelona in Spain, the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry.

“HAMAC will continue to promote Greek startups through major technology events, in efforts to highlight Greece as a significant tourism destination and an important creator of digital tourism services,” the association said in an announcement.
