Krallis Transportation in Athens will be disrupted on Wednesday, May 1, as public transport employees have announced their participation in strike mobilizations to mark May Day. According to the latest updates, buses, trains of the electric railway (ISAP), ILPAP trolley-buses and the suburban railway (Proastiakos) will not be running for 24 hours. Also, workers of the Athens metro will hold a work stoppage from the beginning of the shift until 9am and metro line 3 (blue line) will operate only until Doukisis Plakendias station. There will be no metro service to Athens International Airport. Announcements have not been made at the moment involving the tram. Moreover, all passenger ferries will remain docked across Greece on May Day due to an announced 24-hour strike by the Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO). Travelers that have booked ferry tickets are advised to check with their travel agents or contact local port authorities for further information.
