The island of Mykonos in Greece is at the top of a list of destinations that are ideal for solo female travelers.

Compiled by WorldHotels, the list includes the four top destinations that will create unique and unforgettable memories for women traveling alone. Worldhotels represents a collection of some 300 unique and special hotels and resorts in premier destinations around the world.

Referring to Mykonos as “ideal” for solo travelers, Worldhotels underlines that the island not only offers golden sandy beaches but also a nightlife that lasts all night long.

In its description of the Greek island, Worldhotels points out the 16th century windmills that line up on a hill above Mykonos town and refers to them as “an iconic feature”.

Also recommended is Little Venice for its postcard views of “stunning historic houses, boutiques and cozy restaurants” and where people gather to watch the sunset and to start their evening.

For accommodation on Mykonos, Worldhotels recomends Mykonos No5, a hotel located on a hilltop overlooking the island’s town while offering privacy and exclusivity. Mykonos No5 is close to the crystalline waters of the island’s famous beaches of Ornos and Aghios Ioannis.

“With full focus on the individual’s preferences on travel schedules and activities, solo traveling is an adventure that every woman should embark on,” Worldhotels said.

Other destinations that are ideal for solo female travelers, according to Worldhotels, are New York, USA; Tokyo, Japan; and Copenhagen, Denmark.
