According to an announcement, Skiathea Villas is the first hotel on the island to receive the bike friendly certification. The seal was received by the hotel’s representative, Konstatina Katri, who invested time, equipment and focused on new collaborations in order for Skiathea Villas to fulfill the Bike Friendly requirements and offer its services to cycling enthusiasts. Konstantina Katri received the Bike Friendly certification on behalf of Skiathea Villas from Vicky Karatzavelou, public relations officer of NATTOUR. “We strongly believe in the development of alternative forms of tourism on the island of Skiathos and we try to attract guests with alternative interests who appreciate Skiathos’ tourism potential,” Katri said when she received the certification. Cycling is considered the best way to explore Skiathos’ unique beauties and protected natural areas, including its forests that cover a total of 3,000 hectares or two thirds of the island. “Cycling in this unique natural landscape, through the town of Skiathos and the old harbor, will offer visitors unforgettable experiences,” Katri added. Skiathea Villas is located in the village Agia Paraskevi. Overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea, the hotel’s carefully designed luxury villas offer a peaceful environment, with private swimming pools and stunning views to the town of Skiathos.
