Athens is preparing to host the 2nd Aegean Cocktails & Spirits Festival 2019, an annual event aiming to present the most exciting cocktails created with a Greek twist.

The festival will be held on June 7 at the “Lighthouse” of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).

Aiming to bring Greece and its spirits at the epicenter of the global cocktail trends, the event will feature some of the country’s best bars that will present their own cocktails made of local spirits, liqueurs, wines and soft drinks.

Starting from 2pm and until 10pm, top producers and bartenders will serve cocktails with a Greek twist in over ten different bars at the SNFCC.

The festival will also include presentations of products and cocktails, while participants will have the chance to create their own “Aegean Cocktails” in the special “fun cocktail making” area under the instructions of professionals.

Furthermore, leading bartenders will share their know-how, as well as stories inspired by history, heritage and destinations, during the “Stories by the Storytellers” event.

Meanwhile, starting on June 5 and for five days, some of Greece’s top bars will be serving their own unique cocktails with products provided by the festival’s participant producers. The cocktails will be available at special prices.

The 2nd Aegean Cocktails & Spirits Festival was launched in April 2016, by Difford’s Guide Greece, a website dedicated to Greece’s bar- and drink- related venues and spirits, with the aim to promote Greek spirits in Greece and abroad.
