A member of Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, Danilia is a unique replica of a traditional Corfiot village and includes two squares, a church, a traditional café and two taverns. The venue hosts large- and small-scale events, organized and catered by Grecotel. Among the events recently hosted by the Danilia Village was the 6th Corfu Symposium on Managing & Marketing Places, which is organized annually by the Institute of Place Management of the Manchester Metropolitan University. Grecotel Corfu Imperial The symposium hosted dozens of tourism professionals active in the fields of research and innovation, who discussed on the interconnection between destinations, history and people. During the event, representatives of the Daskalantonakis – Grecotel group and the Nikos Daskalantonakis NDF foundation shared their know-how in tourism, while participants had the chance to taste the unique cuisine of the recently renovated Corfu Imperial hotel. The Danilia Village on Corfu Ina ddition, chefs, journalists, opinion leaders and visitors had the opportunity to taste more than 20 traditional Corfiot recipes during the 2nd Corfu Food and Wine Festival, which was recently held in Danilia, in collaboration with Grecotel. More specifically, scenes of the movie, “James Bond: For Your Eyes Only,” were filmed in Danilia, as well as part of UK’s “The Durrells” TV series.
