Lufthansa was chosen as the “Best Airline in Europe” and “Best Western European Airline” for the third consecutive year; Austrian was honored for its catering in the Premium Economy Class, in the “Best Premium Economy Class Onboard Catering” category; and SWISS’ lounge in Zurich was awarded as the “The Worlds Best First Class Lounge”. “In particular, our colleagues in the cabin, cockpit and on the ground can be very proud of this. They are the ones who keep our premium promise day after day,” Hohmeister added. Market research institute Skytrax carried out the survey – designed to evaluate the offering on board and the services provided by the airlines at the airports – with the participation of some 20 million passengers from over 160 countries worldwide. Focus on innovation The Lufthansa Group continues to consistently focus on innovation. Its airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian, are planning to invest a further 2.5 billion euros in new seats in all classes, a significantly larger lounge offering, and the expansion of digital services. The group aims to provide customers with an even more personalized service. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
