Company updates Greek Hotel Chamber – Google Team Up for ‘CapsuleT’ Startup Accelerator by GTP editing team 27 June 2019 written by GTP editing team 27 June 2019 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 7 The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH) announced on Thursday that it had joined forces with Google for its CapsuleT initiative, Greece’s first travel and hospitality accelerator, aimed at speeding up the launch of tourism startups. Google will provide know-how and expertise in digital technology and best practices, host special workshops and seminars, and arrange one-on-one sessions with mentors for each cycle of the program. The company will also offer the team securing the highest score for its project, a visit to the Google Campus in Warsaw. “We welcome Google to the launch of CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator. For us, this collaboration is a milestone and demonstrates that with a strong vision, a suitably oriented program, and a dynamic team of partners, we can make a substantial contribution to the development of innovative solutions and new opportunities in the tourism sector and, by extension, to the country,” said HCH President Alexandros Vassilikos. Alexandros Vasilikos, President of HCH. Submissions for the first round of the CapsuleT Acceleration Program are being accepted through to the July 15, 2019 deadline. CapsuleT is open only to startups in travel and tourism. The first round will run for three months from September to November 2019 and will include workshops and mentoring, as well as local events, presentation opportunities and meetings with professionals, industry visits, and networking activities. Participants will also have the chance to participate in educational and networking conferences, as well as in trade fairs in Greece and abroad. The CapsuleT program is offered free of charge to selected candidates. For more details go here.
