“Experiences Net”, a newly established company based in Athens, recently began operations, aiming to tap into the vast potential of the Tours & Experiences market in Greece.

The company designs, promotes and offers niche experiences, while also providing its know-how to other companies that look to make their travel products more attractive to a wider audience, mainly online.

It consists of three divisions: Experiences, Hotels & Villas and Hospitality Innovations.

“Experiences Net” was created by Michael Mavropoulos, an experienced executive with a long career in leadership positions in tourism and logistics for more than three decades on three continents. Prior to launching “Experiences Net”, he served as TUI’s Regional Director East Mediterranean.

In an announcement, Mavropoulos said he seized the business opportunity and challenge to provide high-end services to high-income travelers who are looking for unique holiday experiences.

“Greece’s Tours & Experiences sector is a huge market of over 1 billion euros, highly fragmented with around 90 percent of the bookings taking place offline,” Mavropoulos said.

“Undoubtedly, Tours & Experiences is the next great untapped market in the online travel segment and this fact was the main reason behind our decision to create a modern, lean, and forward thinking organization to explore this opportunity in Greece, by offering niche products that reach right into the soul of our guests seeking out immersive travel experiences,” he added.

“Experiences Net” is headquartered in Athens.
