Mouzenidis Group airline Ellinair has announced three new ways for passengers to travel economy, allowing them to choose exactly how they want to fly in accordance to their budget.

According to an announcement, the airline’s new commercial policy follows current market trends and has been designed to meet consumer needs by providing more choices to tap into the personal needs of passengers.

Ellinair is now implementing three new categories of airfare:

Economy Basic, just as its name implies, contains absolutely the basics: the airline ticket, a piece of hand luggage weighing 8 kilos and a small personal item inside the cabin (a laptop bag or a briefcase). Economy Classic allows passengers – in addition to hand luggage and personal item – to check in a piece of luggage weighing up to 23 kilos. Economy Comfort allows passengers to enjoy access to lounges, luggage priority, location selection and fast track service, in addition to all the benefits of the first two categories.

Each service can also be purchased separately. For example, one can buy an Economy Classic ticket and later add lounge access or any other service. Passengers are also be able to add a second or third suitcase even after the ticket has been issued.

“Ellinair is taking another important step towards the travel flexibility of its passengers in terms of both cost reduction and the upgrade of its offered services and online experience,” Ellinair Commercial Director Stavros Daliakas said, adding that the airline’s efforts will continue with the addition of other services.

“With the aviation sector entering a new era, Ellinair guarantees stability, growth and social solidarity,” Daliakas added.
