Lemnos’ Gastronomy and Wines on the Menu of 3rd Philema Festival

The northern Aegean island of Lemnos, during July 26-28, will host the 3^rd Philema Gastronomy & Wine Festival, an annual event that promotes local tastes and products.

Lemnos Philema will once again host local producers, restaurants and gastronomy experts who will introduce visitors to the island’s gastronomy wealth through hospitality and the sense of philema, which in Greek means “offering guests a treat”.

The three-day event will feature Lemnos’ signature products such as pasta, cheeses, pastries, crackers, wines, kavourmas, legumes, flour, nuts, herbs, olive oil, wine and more.

The festival will also offer its visitors the “Lemnos Philema Menu”, which is curated especially for the occasion and will be available at selected restaurants around the island.

On July 26 Lemnos Philema will host the “Herbal Alchemy” workshop, which will offer useful information on the island’s aromatic plants and herbs that can be found on Greek vineyards.

The festival will conclude on Sunday, July 27, with a lineup of live cooking and cocktail sessions.

The Lemnos Philema festival will be held at the Apothiki cultural venue at the port of Mirina in the western part of the island.
