As part of its corporate social responsibility program, the Creta Maris Beach Resort, located in Hersonissos on the island of Crete, recently held its annual “Blood Donation Day”.

The blood donation event was held for the 27th consecutive year with the participation of 40 employees and members of the resort’s management team, under the auspices of Venizelio Pananeio – General Hospital of Heraklion.

Creta Maris introduced its “Blood Donation Day” in 1992, with the aim to encourage the local community and as many employees as possible, to become volunteer blood donors and offer a gift of life to those in need.

The staff’s great response lead to the establishment of the blood donation program and the creation of a blood bank at the Venizelio Hospital, serving dozens of surgeries and serious incidents.

The Creta Maris Beach Resort is a member of the Metaxa Hospitality Group.
