Event News ITB Asia 2019 Introduces New ‘Buyers Elite Partner Programme’ by GTP editing team 8 July 2019 written by GTP editing team 8 July 2019 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 23 ITB Asia, Asia’s leading travel trade show, has announced its new “Buyers Elite Partner Programme (BEPP)” that is aimed to provide its partners with more business opportunities. ITB Asia 2019 will be held in Singapore between October 16-18. Under the new initiative, ITB Asia will provide complimentary hosting to partners that recommend 15 successful buyers to attend the show. “This gives partners a platform to develop stronger trade ties with recommended buyers and secure more business opportunities,” says the expo’s organizer Messe Berlin (Singapore). To uphold the quality of buyers at this year’s show, ITB Asia has been working closely with industry partners, old and new from the MICE, corporate and leisure segments. Corporate partners this year include the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), the Corporate Travel Management (CTM), and the United Networks of International Corporate Event Organisers (UNICEO), among others. Visit Finland, the Korea Tourism Organization, the Singapore Tourism Board and the Universal Federation of Travel Agents Association (UFTAA), have also been listed as BEPP partners for the event under the leisure segment. Boost in number of MICE buyers Also, according to the organizer, ITB Asia has attracted a pool of quality MICE buyers, following the launch of the new MICE Show Asia earlier this year. More specifically, MICE partners under the BEPP include the Advantage Meetings and Events, EVINTRA, Helmsbriscoe, the Korea MICE Association (KMA) and the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) among others. Meanwhile, building on the success of the 2018 Buyers Programme, this year’s ITB Asia has already seen about 35 percent increase in approved buyers, who are coming from high-growth markets such as Southeast Asia, China and India. “We are pleased to have attracted a greater number of buyers to this year’s show… By working closely with our exhibitors and through the new ‘Elite Partner Programme’, we hope to spur more business opportunities for both parties,” said Messe Berlin (Singapore) Managing Director Katrina Leung.
