The ‘ΝΕΣΤ’ restaurant of The Alex hotel.

The Alex hotel, the newly established property of the Santikos Collection located in Kastella, Piraeus, recently opened the doors of the ‘ΝΕΣΤ’, its brand new rooftop restaurant that offers breathtaking views and unique gastronomy suggestions.

Deriving from the English word, “nest“, the restaurant’s name is written with Greek letters.

“This was not a random choice since the ΝΕΣΤ offers 360ᵒ views – from the Acropolis hill until the Athens Riviera – and special dishes prepared by chef George Bakas, with the aim to offer the ‘Greek Comfort Food’ experience”, the hotel’s management said in an announcement.

With a long experience as a private chef and collaborations with renowned chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, George Bakas has designed signature dishes for the NEΣT that guarantee a tasty journey with influences from Madrid, London and Thailand.

“Bakas has created a menu inspired by the Mediterranean sea with Asian tips, also bringing light healthy cuisine to the frontline. All his dishes include fresh products and this is why the menu will be renewed based on seasonal ingredients,” the announcement said.

The chef’s suggestions include the keihl salad, tuna tartar, giouvarlakia (Greek recipe) with seafood and risotto gemista.

NEΣT’s philosophy is in line with The Alex’s modern, minimal, and fresh style.
