Greek ferry operator Seajets has announced that its Andros Jet catamaran will continue to serve the Samothrace-Alexandroupolis route until further notice.

Seajets stepped in and began serving the Samothrace-Alexandroupolis route after the main local ferry broke down and passengers were stranded.

The ferry operator on Tuesday informed that the Andros Jet will carry out the Samothrace-Alexandroupolis route on Wednesday, August 21, as follows:

• From Alexandroupolis to Samothraki at 9.30 and 15.00
• From Samothraki to Alexandroupolis at 12.00 and 18.00

The route will be carried out after the company was in contact with the Greek Shipping Ministry and while awaiting the re-routing of the local ship.

The company underlined that it will continue to serve the Samothrace-Alexandroupolis route in the coming days until a local ship begins itineraries again.

Seajets said it would announce its itineraries 24 hours in advance for the convenience of passengers.
