Messe Berlin, a leading international trade fair and event organizer, has joined forces with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) to organize the first ITB India event in April 2020. The announcement was recently made in Berlin by Dirk Hoffmann, Chief Financial Officer of Messe Berlin, Martin Buck, Senior Vice President, Travel & Logistics at Messe Berlin and Bernhard Steinrücke, Director General of IGCC. The inaugural ITB India event will be held between April 15-17, in Mumbai, and will bring together key travel industry leaders and international exhibitors from various segments of the MICE, leisure, corporate, travel & technology industries. It will also feature the first ITB India Conference, which will include a wide range of showcases and workshops focusing on corporate travel, travel technology, meetings and incentives, destination marketing, cruise, payments and more. Messe Berlin (Singapore) will also be supporting the inaugural ITB India event as its leading trade show, ITB Asia, has been a trendsetter in the Asian tourism world for 11 years now. “Our intention was to introduce the strong and successful ITB brand to the Indian market. We are pleased to have the vast network and expertise of IGCC at our side, which has over 60 years of experience in developing markets in India,” said Messe Berlin’s Dirk Hoffmann.
