Four Seasons Astir Palace Appoints Philippe Roux-Dessarps as New General Manager

The new General Manager of the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, Philippe Roux-Dessarps.

The Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens has appointed Philippe Roux-Dessarps as its new General Manager.

Born in France, Philippe brings more than 25 years of international luxury hotel experience to the flagship Greek property, which welcomed its first guests in March 2019.

“I am humbled to join the formidable team of the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens. After less than a year in operation, the hotel has already become a unique destination in the region. This is not only thanks to its spectacular setting, but first and foremost to its talented team,” he said.

Philippe joins the Four Seasons group from the Park Hyatt Chicago where he held the position of General Manager.

Prior to his latest role, he was General Manager of the Park Hyatt Tokyo for seven years, a Vice-President of Global brands for Hyatt corporate and has worked in luxury properties around the world, such as in Paris, Bali and London.

Philippe holds an MBA from the Global graduate business school INSEAD and is an alumnus from the prestigious Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne hospitality management school in Switzerland.

He likes to embrace challenges in his personal life too as an amateur pilot with a private license that allows him to fly whenever his spare time allows.

As the new General Manager, Philippe looks forward to creating a home in Athens with his wife and two daughters.
