Greece’s year-round tourism options and alternative travel products were recently presented by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) at Germany’s TourNatur 2019 exhibition.

The annual event was held during September 6-8 in Düsseldorf.

According to the GNTO, the Greek stand attracted a large number of the exhibition’s visitors, which this year reached a total of 45,000 and came from all over Germany and the neighboring countries.

“They were informed on Greece and the endless options it offers for outdoor activities all year round, and received printed material from Greek tourism destinations,” the GNTO said in an announcement

The Greek stand also hosted representatives from the regions of Crete, Central Macedonia, North Aegean, Thessaly and Central Greece, as well as the Halkidiki Tourism Organization.

The representatives of Greek destinations had the chance to discuss with tourism professionals on ways to promote Greece’s destinations and develop new hiking and trekking activities.

Every year, TourNatur offers the opportunity to visitors of all ages to learn more on sustainable forms of vacation, receive information on popular hiking destinations and discuss with hundreds of tour operators and national tourism bodies from all over the world.

Next year’s TourNatur exhibition will be held during September 4-6 in Düsseldorf.
