Workers of public transport are protesting against provisions in the bill related to trade unions. Up until now, it has been announced that trolleys, OASA buses and the electric railway (ISAP) will not operate for 24 hours. Also, work stoppages have been announced by workers of the Athens metro (the metro will will operate only between 9am – 9pm) and of the tram (cars will run only between 7am – 11pm). Ferries in Greece will also not be in service on Tuesday as the Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) has announced a 24-hour strike in all ship categories.
