In its 11th year, the event was jointly held with the 33rd Athens Run on September 29 in the center of Athens, under the organization of the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer Alma Zois and the City of Athens’ Culture, Youth and Sports Organization (OPANDA). “Greece Race for the Cure is the most significant social event in the country, with more than 150,000 participants in its 11-year history in Greece. The team of bluegr Hotels & Resorts took part in the 5km race and the 2km walk, celebrating life and highlighting the importance of prevention,” the company said in an announcement. Initiatives for society Bluegr Hotels & Resorts every year takes part in a number of charity initiatives and activities. Aiming to support the consumption of local products, the hotel group is a member of the We Do Local program. The group also actively supports the World Coastal Cleanup Day events. It should be mentioned that the beaches of its hotels on Crete have been receiving the Blue Flag for more than 25 years. Minos Beach art hotel Bluegr Hotels & Resorts also actively supports art and every year organizes seminars and tours to its Minos Bearch art hotel for the students of Agios Nikolaos. This year, in collaboration with the G & A Mamidakis Foundation, bluegr created a library in the 3rd Elementary School of Agios Nikolaos. The group this year participated in the celebrations for World Tourism Day that were held by the Municipality of Lasithi on September 27 and donated the event’s proceeds for charity causes in the region. Moreover, the corporate social responsibility program of bluegr Hotels & Resorts includes a Blood Donation Bank.
