With offices in Athens and Santorini, DNA Travel designs and implements alternative and experiential travel packages and excursions to some of Greece’s most popular destinations. “The opportunities that arise after unfortunate events, such as the Thomas Cook collapse, urge us to be creative, collaborative, competitive,” said DNA Travel founder and CEO Iakovos Sachas. According to Sachas, the extroversion of Greek enterprises, especially those active in the tourism sector – the driver of the Greek economy – is crucial as the demands of travelers constantly change. “The travelers’ demands make us seek and create new pioneer and alternative tourism programs… Extroversion, collaboration, innovation and sustainability are key for our future,” he added. WTM London 2019 DNA Travel will first present its products and services at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2019, scheduled to take place in London during November 4-6. WTM London is the must-attend three-day exhibition for the worldwide travel and tourism industry. Last year’s event saw a record number of visitors that exceeded 30,000, and a total of 4,664 exhibitors from 182 countries and regions. ‘Philoxenia’ Tourism Exhibition Shortly after, DNA will travel to the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki for the 35th International Tourism Exhibition “Philoxenia”, which will be held together with the Hotelia International Hotel Equipment Exhibition during November 8-10. Philoxenia is one of the most significant and longest-running tourism exhibitions in Southeastern Europe. The two events last year hosted a total of 20,000 visitors from 47 countries, 615 exhibitors from 22 countries, approximately 200 hosted buyers and 4,000 business meetings. 1st Greek Panorama DNA Travel will also participate in the 1st Greek Panorama Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy exhibition that will take place in Athens during November 14-16. The expo will host tourism agencies from 22 countries, specializing in alternative forms of travel. AITExpo 2019 Furthermore, DNA Travel, during December 6-8, will be present at the annual Athens International Tourism Expo, which will be held at the Metropolitan Expo near the Athens Airport. As every year, the exhibition will focus on incoming tourism, gastronomy and cultural travel, and will include meetings with exhibitors, travel agents and DMCs from the Mediterranean and southern Europe.
