AFEA Travel and Congress Services is supporting vulnerable social groups in Greece, through the “Health for All” program.

One of Greece’s leading congress organizers and destination management companies, AFEA recently provided the transport for “Health for All” volunteers, who had to travel to the region of Thrace in northern Greece – to the destinations of Alexandroupoli, Soufli, Evros, Orestiada, Rodopi and Komotini – to offer health services to children.

The program’s medical team provided clinical examinations, vaccinations and dental checkups to 264 children of minority groups and repatriated families.

“Nowadays, more than ever, the need of vulnerable population groups for equal access to health care and rehabilitation programs is imperative,” AFEA said in an announcement.

The “Health for All” program was carried out with the scientific support of the doctors of “Aghia Sofia” Children’s Hospital, the children’s clinic of the General Hospital of Komotini and local health centers.

“It is among our priorities to support local communities in various regions of the country,” said AFEA Deputy CEO Dimitra Lygnou.

AFEA financially contributes to the actions of the “Health for All” program through its Corporate Social Responsibility program.

“We consider it our duty to contribute, in any way possible, to the well-being of the communities. By supporting the ‘Health for All’ program we had the chance to actively help for the improvement of the health of children in those regions,” Lygnou added.
