Photo © Georgios Alexandris / Shutterstock Greece’s state privatization fund TAIPED on Μonday announced the launch of a tender process for the concession of the right to use, operate and manage the marina of Itea, a town in the southeastern part of Fokida, Central Greece. The duration of the concession for the marina will be for a period of at least 35 years. The tender will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, TAIPED invites investors to express interest in the marina within a specific timeframe. The interested investors who meet the pre-qualification criteria will be eligible and invited to participate in the second phase for binding offers. Itea, view of the marina. The sea area of the marina of Itea extends to a surface of approximately 26,000 square meters and can accommodate 146 yachts of small and medium size. A dry docking area for 60 yachts is also available. According to TAIPED, works for the port infrastructure in the sea area has been completed, while the construction of the infrastructure in the upland area is still in progress. The upland area of the marina of Itea covers an area of 24,700 square meters approximately. Today, the marina of Itea is operational and accommodates a small number of yachts.
