Santorini’s Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa, for the third consecutive year was honored with the title of Greece’s Best Resort Spa at the World Spa Awards 2019. The World Spa Awards recognizes excellence and is considered a landmark event for the international wellness tourism industry. “This distinction places Santo Maris Oia among the top Greek resorts and recognizes its innovative wellness philosophy, its high-quality services that are inspired by local elements, and the authentic personalized experiences offered at the Anassa Spa – the perfect destination for a holistic relaxation and rejuvenation experience,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement. The 5th annual World Spa Awards ceremony took place at Armani Hotel Dubai on October 21. During the event, Andreas Metaxas, Managing Director of the Metaxa Hospitality Group, operator of the resort, received the award from Rebecca Cohen, Managing Director of the World Spa Awards. “Meeting our customers’ constantly increasing expectations has been a source of inspiration and creativity for us… We wish to contribute to Greece’s wellness tourism sector by continuing to satisfy the wishes of our guests, through our excellent innovative services,” Metaxas said. In 2018, the Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa had been announced Europe’s and Greece’s Best Resort Spa at the World Spa Awards. A five-star resort, Santo Maris Oia opened its doors in 2016, in Oia. Built in a prime location, it offers privacy and panoramic views of Oia’s renowned sunset.
