Athens-based Signature Travel has become the first inbound travel agency to be certified as a Greek Bike Specialist by NatTour, a nonprofit organization promoting sustainable tourism practices. The Greek Bike Specialist seal is a new certification for individual travel agents, travel agencies and tour operators, which certifies their knowledge on cycling tourism. Professionals that are interested in obtaining the certification, learn all there is to know on Greece’s bike friendly destinations and the network’s Bike Friendly Hotels and Partners. This way they will be fully prepared when serving customers that are interested in cycling tourism in Greece. “It is my honor to be the first certified Greek bike specialist… Our partnership with the Bike Friendly network opens up new perspectives in the sector of alternative tourism, ” Signature Travel owner Maria Alifrangi said. Its executives have also enriched their knowledge and skills in order to provide new services that the travelers demand in this constantly evolving market. I also invite other agencies to join the platform,” said Vicky Karantzavelou, public relations officer of NatTour.
