Neptune Hotels Resort, Convention Centre & Spa located on the Greek island of Kos, for the third time has received the prestigious Gold Award by Travelife, the international sustainability organization specializing in tourism.

The Travelife certification is an internationally recognized award scheme for hotels and other tourism-related businesses, which have attained high standards of environmental management and social responsibility.

Hotels that wish to take part in this process are subjected to an on-site audit to ascertain that the benchmarks and criteria established are met, such as efficient water and energy management -with the aim of savin-, waste management and recycling, sustainable purchasing policies as well as corporate social responsibility criteria.

Top performers are rewarded with the Travelife award and respective logo.

“We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all our employees who have contributed to this recognition through teamwork and commitment, as well as to all our partners who actively support our vision,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement.

Through its environmental program, Neptune Hotels Resort, Convention Centre & Spa also aims to align local tourism businesses with the UN Global Sustainability Goals.

“We aim to continue serving the needs of our staff and Kos as a destination while offering premium, heartfelt hospitality to our guests,” the resort said.

Neptune is located on the beach of Mastichari. It offers 569 rooms, suites and apartments of high aesthetics, which are equipped with modern conveniences.
