The Travelife certification is an internationally recognized award scheme for hotels and other tourism-related businesses, which have attained high standards of environmental management and social responsibility. Hotels that wish to take part in this process are subjected to an on-site audit to ascertain that the benchmarks and criteria established are met, such as efficient water and energy management -with the aim of savin-, waste management and recycling, sustainable purchasing policies as well as corporate social responsibility criteria. Top performers are rewarded with the Travelife award and respective logo. “We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all our employees who have contributed to this recognition through teamwork and commitment, as well as to all our partners who actively support our vision,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement. Neptune is located on the beach of Mastichari. It offers 569 rooms, suites and apartments of high aesthetics, which are equipped with modern conveniences. Its facilities include four restaurants, eight bars, four outdoor swimming pools, a heated indoor pool as well as a wide variety of sports activities.
