Company updates Santikos Collection Officially Opens Doors of ‘The Alex’ Hotel by GTP editing team 30 October 2019 written by GTP editing team 30 October 2019 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 18 “The Alex” The Santikos Collection hospitality group has opened a new chapter in its 30-year-long history with the official opening of “The Alex” in Kastella, Piraeus, on Wednesday. “The Alex” is the group’s first city hotel. “The launch of ‘The Alex’ opens a new chapter for our group, which aims to create a lineup of hotels for the modern business travelers with an emphasis on the local elements of this fast-growing tourism area,” said Santikos Collection Managing Director Konstantinos Santikos. The “ΝΕΣΤ” restaurant & bar The new hotel consists of 34 rooms, “The Botanist” all-day café & bistrot in its ground floor and the “ΝΕΣΤ” rooftop restaurant & bar that offers a new menu and stunning views of the Faliron area, the Athenian Riviera, as well as the Parnitha Mountain and the Saronic Gulf. “The Alex” also includes a private parking area. “Our aim is to establish Kastella and Mikrolimano as points of reference for tourism in Southeastern Europe,” Santikos added. Santikos Collection has appointed Christos Seizis, an executive with a long experience in the hospitality industry, as the hotel’s general manager. The Santikos Collection was founded in 1986. “The Alex” is the fifth property of the group’s portfolio which includes hotels on the islands of Alonnisos and Skiathos as well as in Pelion.
