Over the past few years, Greece has noted impressive growth as far as the yacht charter market is concerned.

It is no secret that our country has always been an exceptional yachting destination so you may ask what the recent positive developments are due to.

The first factor is the growing fleet of yachts available for charter. There are more options than ever available and they cover a very broad spectrum of requirements. There are bigger, better equipped and more yachts based in our waters and the majority of them are maintained to finest of standards. Some of the new builds completed by Greek shipyards have already attracted global attention and there will be more additions in the near future.

So, apart from offering a plethora of destinations we are also offering a plethora of choices.

The second is the human factor. The interaction of Greek crews with international brokers and clients has led them to expand and refine their skill set. The truth is that increased exposure to a demanding global clientele has motivated both brokerage companies and individuals to invest in continuing professional development.

This means that the level of training and talent that can now be found on board has risen and, according to feedback from industry professionals, is on par with global standards.

If we also take into account their in depth knowledge of the area, we could say that the Greek crew are in a position not just to meet expectations but to exceed them. After all, nobody knows the Greek waters quite like the Greeks.

And last but certainly not least, there is the safety and security of cruising in Greece. Thousands of beautiful islands to explore without ever being far from shore. Welcoming seas without a trace of hostile marine life. Favourable weather without extreme phenomena.

Greece is a yachting paradise without a doubt.
