Greece’s unique products and authentic recipes will be presented during the Xenia 2019 exhibition by “Greek Breakfast”, the culinary initiative of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH).

This is the first time the Greek Breakfast initiative will be presented at Xenia 2019, which will take place at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens between November 23-25

Launched almost a decade ago, “Greek Breakfast” promotes Greece’s breakfast habits and culture through recipes and products served at accommodation facilities throughout the country.

“The gastronomy dimension of a tourism experience is very significant for the traveler and has become one of the main reasons for choosing a destination,” HCH said in an announcement.

Under the motto, “Every morning we set the table throughout Greece”, and the supervision of Consultant Chef and Certified Cooking Professor Stratos Iosifellis, at Xenia 2019 the “Greek Breakfast” will offer guests authentic Greek products and many kinds of suggestions for recipes that combine traditional and contemporary cuisine.

Among them are the revani sweet with Egina pistachio; sougania – a traditional recipe of Mytilini – with mince, sausage, bulgur and fresh aroma herbs, and loukoumades (fried dough) covered with honey, walnuts and cinnamon.

Meanwhile, Melina Selalma, a gastronomy consultant and cook, will offer her advice on healthy diet, through live cooking activities.
