This is the first time the Greek Breakfast initiative will be presented at Xenia 2019, which will take place at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens between November 23-25 Launched almost a decade ago, “Greek Breakfast” promotes Greece’s breakfast habits and culture through recipes and products served at accommodation facilities throughout the country. “The gastronomy dimension of a tourism experience is very significant for the traveler and has become one of the main reasons for choosing a destination,” HCH said in an announcement. Among them are the revani sweet with Egina pistachio; sougania – a traditional recipe of Mytilini – with mince, sausage, bulgur and fresh aroma herbs, and loukoumades (fried dough) covered with honey, walnuts and cinnamon.
