The Hotel Grande Bretagne, located in the center of Athens, officially welcomed the Christmas holiday season on November 30 with its annual tree lighting event. The hotel’s dazzling Christmas tree is, once again, decorated with impressive garlands, special ornaments and more than 10,000 lights, creating a unique festive scene in the lobby. During the ceremony, volunteers of the “ELIZA – Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children” informed guests about the organization’s significant initiatives that focus on children in need. “Everyone enjoyed the evening with the overwhelming Christmas spirit and also had the chance to watch the hotel’s new Christmas video,” the management of Hotel Grande Bretagne said in an announcement. Meanwhile, the Grande Bretagne Hotel and its sister property King George continue their special fund-raising campaign, which started on December 1 and will last for four months. During this period, €1.50 will be added to each receipt issued at the GB Roof Garden and Tudor Hall restaurants with the customers’ consent and will be donated to support “ELIZA”. Located at central Syntagma Square, the luxury Hotel Grande Bretagne offers a stunning view of the Acropolis, the Hellenic Parliament, the Lycabettus Hill and the Kallimarmaro Panathenaic Stadium.
