Both shipping giants are present in Greece, in the ports of Piraeus and Thessaloniki respectively.The first Greek on the list is, once again, John Angelicoussis, owner of Angelicoussis Shipping Group, who ranked 7th (from 6th last year). Source: Lloyd’s List “While John Angelicoussis gives little sign that it is anything other than business as usual for Greece’s biggest shipowner and the world’s largest purely private shipowning group, it is continuing to grow, reaching more than 130 vessels and about 29m dwt, including $2.8bn worth of newbuildings on order,” Lloyd’s List says. Greek entries on the list wrap up with Despina Theodosiou, president of Wista (Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association) International, in the 95th place.
