Destinations news T+L Includes Paros Among 50 Best Places to Travel in 2020 by GTP editing team 18 December 2019 written by GTP editing team 18 December 2019 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 25 Photo Source: @Municipality of Paros The Greek island of Paros is included on Travel + Leisure’s (T+L) list of the 50 Best Places to Travel in 2020. The island ranks 37th on the list which features the most anticipated places to visit in the year ahead, as selected by the magazine’s editors. “Paros is a place overtourism forgot. The rugged Greek island, located smack in the middle of the Cyclades, can only be described as the cooler cousin of more populated islands like Mykonos and Santorini,” says T+L’s Stacey Leasca. It’s worth navigating the labyrinthine streets in the town of Naoussa to spot some picturesque alleys,” Leasca adds. Addis Ababa in Ethiopia tops T=L’s list and is followed by Arequipa, Peru, in second place; Asheville, North Carolina in third; Austria in fourth, and Baja Sur’s East Cape, Mexico, in fifth position. T+L’s editors identify the places that are at the forefront of the global conversation and also consider perennial favorites that are reinventing themselves in exciting ways.
