According to Agerpres, Blue Air will be launching eight new flight routes out of Bucharest, Iasi and Bacau airports. Blue Air aims to serve Athens out of Bacau Airport (George Enescu International Airport) as of June 15, as well as five more new routes to Birmingham, Copenhagen, Larnaca, Oslo, and Stuttgart, in addition to nine other routes – Brussels, Bologna, Dublin, Liverpool, London, Madrid, Milan, Rome, and Turin – currently operated through the airport. June 15 marks the launch of the carrier’s Munich route to be serviced with four flights a week, followed on June 16 with the first Blue Air flight from Iasi airport to Verona, to be serviced with three flights per week. Air fares for Blue Air’s new destinations start from 19.99 euros and include additional discounts and benefits through the company’s annual subscription program, Agerpres reports. Operating out of Henri Coandă International Airport, IATA member Blue Air is the largest Romanian airline handling in 2017 over 5 million passengers on its fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft and serving 57 scheduled destinations. In 2018, Blue Air was named among the Best Low-cost Airlines in Europe in TripAdvisor’s 2018 Travelers’ Choice Awards for Airlines.
