The Municipality of Heraklion on the island of Crete, has launched a new promo video inviting travelers to explore the city, discover new tourism experiences and enjoy Cretan hospitality.

Titled, “Discover the other part of yourself”, the video features two characters that explore Heraklion based on their different preferences: One is interested in culture and Cretan tradition while the other seeks for leisure and entertainment. Yet, the two meet as the video ends.

“This video is full of images, sounds, tastes and flavors of Heraklion.

Foreign visitors have the opportunity to wander around history and culture while exploring this beautiful modern city in the heart of the Mediterranean,” the Municipality said.

Heraklion, Crete

The video highlights Heraklion’s unique archaeological sites and monuments such as the Knossos Palace, the Archaeological Museum, the Koules Fortress, temples and monasteries. Furthermore, it promotes Cretan gastronomy and nightlife.

The promo video was developed by the municipality’s tourism department and directed by Indigoview.
