According to the report, EY is on standby to handle any potential liquidation. In a short statement, Flybe said it remains in business: “Flybe continues to provide great service and connectivity for our customers while ensuring they can continue to travel as planned. We don’t comment on rumor or speculation.” In February 2019, the airline was bought by a consortium led by Virgin Atlantic following poor financial results. Flybe today operates about 75 aircraft and serves more than 80 airports across the UK and Europe. The carrier is represented in Greece by Discover the World.
