According to an announcement, GMT has invested in Argo’s marine division, a move that will enable the two companies create a robust global network and combine their leading industry expertise in marine travel under the new brand, Argo Marine Travel. Argo is a DMC offering business travel and MICE services throughout Greece to its corporate customers – PCO’s, incentive houses, international MICE organizers, corporations, banks etc. Tim Davey “We are pleased to be bringing on board a company with such a respected heritage, that has operated since 1952, leading the marine travel segment in Greece for 68 years,” said Tim Davey, Managing Director and Founder of GMT. “We look forward to welcoming the Argo Marine Travel team to our group and using our resources and global network to enhance the services they provide to their customers,” he added. GMT’s customers come from all sectors of the marine industry such as cruise, private yacht, commercial, contractors, vessel managers, surveyors, and offshore oil rig workers. To meet their needs, the company offers a full portfolio of services such as hotel, visa services, car rentals, crew transfers, rail, helicopters, charters, and all low-cost air carriers. “GMT is a natural fit for the Argo Travel Group and shares our values and commitment to providing personal and reliable service worldwide. Argo Marine Travel’s offices will operate on 9, Xenofontos street in central Athens. Argo’s headquarters remain on 10, Xenofontos street and include all non-marine related services such as business/corporate and destination management.
