An award-winning restaurant, earlier this year the Funky Gourmet counted 10 years of successful operation in the district of Keramikos in the Athens city center. In two months from now it will reopen its doors on the top floor of the Hilton Athens, next to the hotel’s renowned Galaxy Bar & Restaurant. “The Galaxy Bar & Restaurant will remain closed for about two months and return refurbished next to the award-winning restaurant of Nikos Roussos and Georgiana Chiliadaki, which is set to upgrade the gastronomy profile of Athens’s most historic hotel,” the management of the Hilton Athens said in an announcement. On the occasion, the Galaxy Bar & Restaurant will hold its last winter party on Friday, January 31, and offer visitors a night of top 70s and 80s hits and mainstream favorites by popular Greek group “48 Hours”. The party starts at 10:30pm. Located on the top floor of the Hilton Athens, the Galaxy Bar & Restaurant is a known hotspot in Athens that offers breathtaking views of the Acropolis, Lycabettus hill and the streets of the Greek capital.
