Air Travel SkyUp Airlines to Connect Ukraine with Greek Islands by GTP editing team 30 January 2020 written by GTP editing team 30 January 2020 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 19 Photo Source: @SkyUp Airlines Ukrainian airline SkyUp has launched new routes connecting some of Ukraine’s largest cities with the Greek Islands of Crete, Corfu and Zakynthos, according to an announcement by BBT Air, the carrier’s General Sales Agent (GSA) in Greece, said. As of April 25, SkyUp will begin flights between Heraklion, Crete,and Kyiv every Saturday and Sunday, while from May 26 the airline will carry out the route on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. SkyUp will also connect Heraklion with Lviv on Wednesdays, Saturdays, starting on May 2. From May 3, it will begin flights from Heraklion to Zaporizhzhia on Sundays and from May 28 on Thursdays and Saturdays. Heraklion, Crete As of May 19, SkyUp will connect Heraklion with Odesa every Tuesday. A Heraklion – Kharkiv route will launch on May 2, with flight running every Saturday, and from May 25, every Wednesday and Saturday. In addition, SkyUp, from May 30, will serve a Corfu-Kyiv route every Saturday, and from May 31, the airline will conduct a Kyiv-Zakynthos route on Sundays. Ticket sales have opened. In addition, this allows the Ukrainian community in Greece to connect easier with each other, and their hometowns and relatives.” The appointment of Athens – based BBT Air as the airline’s GSA in Greece, was announced recently. SkyUp Airlines LLC was founded in June 2017 and began operating in May 2018. Its flight schedule covers international and domestic destinations and operates both on a regular and on a charter basis. The carrier’s fleet includes 10 aircrafts: Six Boeing 737-800 N G, two Boeing 737-700 NG and two Boeing 737- 900 ER, which can accommodate 189, 149 and 215 passengers respectively.
