The list is based on a survey that was recently conducted by Taxi2airport.com, an online reservation and booking system for airport transfers all around the globe. The experts of Taxi2airport.com sought to find out the best locations in Europe to travel to in 2020 for travelers that have pets. Greece ranks 16th on the list with 2,733 pet-friendly hotels. Source: Taxi2airport Italy is the country with the highest number of hotels – 18,176 – that allow pets. It is followed by Russia (10,831) in second place, Poland (8,521) and Croatia (7,794) in third and fourth respectively and Spain (6,945) in the fifth position. To get the data, Taxi2airport.com had a look at Booking.com for the number of accommodations that allow people to bring their pets along, for all the countries in Europe. No particular dates were chosen, so the results showed all the accommodation available in those areas. Source: Taxi2airport Taxi2airport.com also had a look at the number of five-star hotels for each country in Europe to see where pet owners should travel to if they are looking for a luxurious experience. These are France (217 hotels), UK (166 hotels), Italy (157 hotels), Croatia (120 hotels) and Finland (112 hotels).
