Photo © Maria Theofanopoulou The Municipality of Serifos recently launched a new travel brochure and announced a set of activities to promote the island’s tourism offerings to travel professionals in Greece and abroad. Under the motto “Serifos, all about Cyclades”, the municipality will first distribute the printed material at the BIT 2020 tourism exhibition scheduled to take place in Milan, during February 9-11. In March, the Municipality will travel to Germany, to participate in the ITB Berlin 2020 travel trade show and present the island’s tourism products. “Serifos includes all the interesting features of the Cyclades complex and can meet a significant part of the tourism demand,” the island’s Deputy Mayor for Tourism Stelios Livanios said in an announcement. Photo © Maria Theofanopoulou The municipality also plans to hold a number of promotional activities in Greece including fam and press trips for journalists, bloggers and executives of the tourism market. Moreover, in efforts to further improve the quality of the services offered, the municipality will hold a seminar for the island’s tourism professionals. “We are confident, that this joint effort of the Municipality and the island’s professionals will be fruitful… We have already received positive messages from the market,” Livanios added.
